Registration Terms & Conditions

 

Delegate Registration

  • Submission of a Registration form shall be deemed to be acceptance of the Global Invest Group’s terms and conditions and shall be jointly binding on the applicant and the applicant’s corporate entity.
  • Please note that all conference fees should be paid no later than 7 days before the conference commences.
  • If one wishes to benefit from the monthly discounts and early registration, the client is required to make payment within the period of trending price.
  • Companies/individuals will be held liable for conference fees even if delegates do not attend if prior notice is not made or if it is given at a time where cancellation is no longer applicable.
  • An invoice will be forwarded to you upon receipt of your registration form to initiate payment

  • Accommodation should be booked directly with the conference venue as we negotiate secured a discounted rate for conference registrants.
  • All payments should reflect the Invoice number. Conference registrations will not be confirmed until the completed form and the correct payment is received and processed by our Conference Office unless or otherwise an agreement is met between the client and the Group.
  • If payments are not made by the end of the month of the event. The payment will start accruing a 10% monthly late payment fee. Updated invoices will be sent reflecting this.
  • Accommodation costs are not included in the conference registration fee. Attendees are responsible for making their own lodging arrangements.
  • Capacity is limited for attendees hence Registrations will be handled on a first-come, first-serve basis.
  • Conference registrations cancelled 30 days or more before the first day of the conference will incur a cancellation fee of 14% of the amount invoiced.
  • Registrations cancelled within 30 days of the first day of the Conference will incur a cancellation fee of 20% of the amount invoiced.
  • No cancellations will be permitted after the Conference begins.
  • Substitutions of delegates may be made at any time. If you wish to substitute a participant, please contact our Conference Office at the earliest opportunity.
  • In the event that Global Invest Group cancels an event for any reason, you will receive 100% credit of the fee paid which can be used for the upcoming events of your choice.
  • In the event that Global Invest Group postpones an event for any reason and the delegate is unable or unwilling to attend on the rescheduled date, they will receive 100% credit of the registration fee paid.
  • All refunds will be made within two months after the Conference, and this may be used for other events within one year from the date of postponement. If not used, all issued credit will expire in one year from the issue date.
  • Except as specified above; under no condition will Global Invest Group issue any refund or credits to any individual or organisation.
  • Conference program is subject to change due to circumstances.
  • This agreement is a binding contract between the above parties and is subject to the laws of South Africa

 

Exhibition Stand Booking

  • All exhibitors are required to comply with the venue’s Health and Safety Standards.
  • It will be expected from you to supply your safety file on request at any time during the conference. Unfortunately the following cannot be allowed at any exhibition stand:

o   Any serving of food and drinks and loud music.

o   Any other flooring other than the standard venue carpet.

  • Banners will only be allowed inside your demarcated exhibition space Stands may be built up on the time that will be given before the event.
  • Stands must be removed by 6pm on the last day of the event, unless notified. And no material or equipment may be left behind at the hotel.
  • Global Invest Group reserves the right to adapt the floor-plan, depending on final participation.
  • Global Invest Group will not be held responsible for any damage or loss of goods at the conference in its entirety.

 

Sponsorship

  • Submission of a signed Sponsorship registration form shall be deemed to be acceptance of the Global Invest Group’s terms and conditions and shall be jointly binding on the applicant and the applicant’s corporate entity.
  • Submission of email communication confirming sponsorship intent shall be deemed to be acceptance of the Global Invest Group’s terms and conditions and shall be jointly binding on the applicant and the applicant’s corporate entity.
  • Please note that all sponsorship fees should be paid no later than 30 days before the conference commences.
  • Cancellations made 8 weeks before the event will unfortunately not be accepted. In the event of such cancellations, full payment of the sponsorship package will be required based on Ts and Cs.
  • Upgrading of sponsorship packages would be welcomed. Such sponsorship changes should be forwarded to the Global Invest Group in writing at least 15 days before commencement of the conference.
  • An invoice will be forwarded to you upon receipt of your sponsorship registration form to initiate payment.
  • Sponsors are required to submit a Hi-Res 300DPI company logo 30 days before commencement of the conference.
  • Sponsors are required to submit their company write up to be on the marketing website and the link to their website.
  • A contract of agreement can be drafted and sent upon request only after the signed registration form has been received by Global Invest Group.

 

General Terms & Conditions

  • Registrants will be able to select the early bird fee up until 18:00 (GMT+2) of the final date specified on the registration form as trending price. If payment has not been received by 18:00 18:00 (GMT+2) of the date registrants will be charged the new (trending) delegate fee. This includes registrants submitting purchase orders, bank transfers and credit card payments that are denied.
  • Conference registrations will not be confirmed until the completed form and the correct payment is received and processed by the Registration Office.
  • Standard registrants will be able to select the standard fee up until 18:00 (GMT+2) on the last day as stated on the registration form.
  • Registrants should obtain confirmation from the Registration Office before committing to travel arrangements.
  • If payment has not been received by 18:00 (GMT+2) of the last day of the standard registration registrants will be charged the late booking delegate fee. This includes registrants submitting purchase orders, bank transfers and credit card payments that are denied.
  • Global Invest Group reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. In the event that any changes are made, the revised terms and conditions shall be posted on this website immediately. Please check the latest information posted herein to inform yourself of any changes.
  • All payments not made by the end of the month of the event or on the date stipulated by Global Invest Group will start accruing a 10% monthly late payment fee. Updated invoices will be sent reflecting this.

 

Substitutions:

  • Should a registrant be unable to attend, they may send one substitute in their place.
  • Global Invest Group must be notified in writing of all substitutions prior to the event.
  • Any registrations received on-line or manually will be invoiced for the full registration amount.

 

Delegate Cancellation Policy

  • Conference registration can only be cancelled in writing addressed info@theglobalinvestgroup.com.
  • An administration fee of R400 per registrant will apply for cancellations notified before the Early Bird Closing Date (See registration form for dates).
  • Conference registrations cancelled 30 days or more before the first day of the conference will incur a cancellation fee of 14% of the amount invoiced.
  • Registrations cancelled within 30 days of the first day of the Conference will incur a cancellation fee of 20% of the amount invoiced.
  • No cancellations will be permitted after two weeks before the event.

 

Participation and Behavior at the conference

  • Attendees are expected to behave professionally.
  • Excessive use of obscene language, abusive behavior, or threatening behavior directed to any other conference attendee is not conducive to a professional environment and will not be tolerated.
  • Any individuals who transgress in the above manner will be ejected from the conference and forfeits all further attendance privileges.

 

Privacy and Personal Information

  • Global Invest Group is concerned with the protection of your privacy.
  • Global Invest Group supports the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
  • Global Invest Group collects and stores your personal information for the purposes of providing services, development programs, and improving and promoting products and service.
  • By providing your details as part of the registration process, you consent to the collection, storage, use and disclosure of your personal information by Global Invest Group.
  • In registering for this event, relevant details may be incorporated into a delegate list for the benefit of all delegates.
  • Further details may also be made available to parties directly related to the event including audio-visual service providers, photographers and accommodation providers (for the purpose of room bookings and event options).
  • In registering for Global Invest Group’s events and conferences, delegates grant permission to Global Invest Group, its agents and others working under its authority, to take and to have full and free use of video/photographs containing their image/likeness.
  • It is understood these images may be used for promotional, news, on-line/ multimedia, research and/or educational purposes by and for Global Invest Group.
  • Please contact Global Invest Group in writing if you do not wish for your images to be used at info@theglobalinvestgroup.com.
  • Delegates agree that they are not entitled to remuneration, residuals, royalties or any other payment from Global Invest Group in respect of their image/likeness or its use.
  • Delegates release, discharge, and hold harmless, Global Invest Group and its agents from any and all claims, demands or causes of actions that they may hereafter have by reason of anything contained in the photographs or video.
  • Should a delegate not agree to the above image release, they must advise Global Invest Group by contacting info@theglobalinvestgroup.com

 

Limitation of Liability; Disclaimer of Damages

  • The Global Invest Group assume no liability for any loss, damage, or injury to any property of participants or to any of its officers, agents, employees, or contractors, whether attributable to accident, fire, water, theft, or any other cause whatsoever.
  • The Global Invest Group gives no warranties in respect of any aspect of the Conference or any materials related thereto or offered at the Conference and, to the fullest extent possible under the laws governing this Agreement, disclaims all implied warranties, including but not limited to warranties of fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, timeliness, and merchantability.
  • The Conference is provided on an “as-is” basis. Neither the Global Invest Group nor its affiliates accept any responsibility or liability for reliance by you or any person on any aspect of the Conference or any information provided at the Conference.
  • Except as required by law, neither the Global Invest Group nor its affiliates shall be liable for any direct, indirect, special, incidental, or consequential costs, damages, or losses arising directly or indirectly from the Conference or any other aspect related thereto or in connection with this Agreement.
  • The maximum aggregate liability of the Global Invest Group for any claim in any way connected with, or arising from, the Conference or this Agreement, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise (including any negligent act or omission), shall be limited to the amount paid by you to the Global Invest Group under this Agreement to be an Participant for the Conference

 

Indemnification

  • Participants agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless the conference venue and the Global Invest Group, its affiliates, and their respective employees, directors, officers, and agents, from any and all liabilities, losses, damages, costs and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) (collectively, “Losses”) due to, arising from, or in connection with any third party claim, suit, judgment or proceeding (a “Claim”) alleging
    • (i)any breach by Participant of this Agreement;
    • (ii) any wrongful conduct committed by Participant pursuant to or in performance of this Agreement; or
    • (iii) that any Participant content or practice violates the intellectual property or proprietary rights of a third party, are defamatory or obscene, or violate any law or other judicial or administrative regulation.
  • Participant will not enter into any settlement that adversely affects the Global Invest Group’s rights or interests without the prior written consent of the Global Invest Group.
  • For clarity, Participant is liable for any damage caused to Facility floors, walls, or columns, or to standard booth equipment, or to other exhibitors’ property. Participant assumes the entire responsibility and liability for losses, damages, and claims arising out of injury or damages to displays, equipment, and other property brought into the Facility, and shall indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Facility, its owners, affiliated companies, agents, servants and employees.
