Towards rural industrialization & sustainable SMME development

Introduction

In support of local economic development, SMME growth and rural industrialisation, Global Invest Group and its esteemed partners will be hosting Enterprise Development & Entrepreneurship Investment Agenda And SMME Expo on the 25th and 26th of October 2017 in East London.

The 2017 programme seeks to address these challenges through indepth, interactive discussions that
are led by a powerful line-up of speakers and key organizations that are solution providers in the ESD
and entrepreneurship environment. It is tailored for and delivered by the tactical minds it offers unrivalled
insights into the profession’s most pressing issues within a uniquely exclusive and high calibre networking
environment.”

Global economic policies have shifted towards supporting entrepreneurship and small to medium enterprises. It has long been established that if Africa is serious about economic growth and reducing the
rising unemployment, governments will have to take real steps to improve the climate for entrepreneurs.
It is however not only the duty of governments but all stakeholders including the private sector, NGOs,
Academia and intergovernmental organisations. Although it is clear that SMMEs play a crucial role in the
economy of Africa, less innovation has been done in trying to come up with right-fit support solutions in
this space.

We look forward to your participation and working with you to promote Africa’s entrepreneurial spirit to adresss some of our economic downturns.
