Teresiah Simelane the GM of Enterprise Development at The Innovation Hub delivered an inspiring speech at the 4th Annual Africa enterprise development & entrepreneurship investment agenda supported by Transnet in Sandton on the 21st and 22nd of June. The Innovation Hub also partnered and sponsored the event.
The Innovation Hub as the key driver of innovation and enterprise development in Gauteng is critical in the space of economic growth in Gauteng. More than the traditional definition of Innovation which is used, The Innovation Hub has moved away from this traditional definition and not only limit innovation to tech- systems.

Through the broader approach to innovation, The Innovation Hub offers a number of incubation programmes in the Bioeconomy (agro processing and pharmaceutical), Smart Industries (ICT and advanced manufacturing) and Green Economy (Water purification, waste management and renewable energy). In addition, The Innovation Hub operates a range of enterprise development, skills development and innovation enabling programmes both in the science park and throughout the Gauteng region.

Teresiah Simelane joined other renowned speakers including Makhosazana Masilela – the Executive Manager at Transnet, Thozamile Gwanya – The CEO of ECRDA, Sifiso Ndwandwe – CEO of Catalyst for Growth, Dionne Kerr – CEO of Siyakha Implementation Partners and Jayshree Naidoo the Head of Standard Bank Business Incubator.
